I am a painter who has done a number of houses in this area. Having been in business for over 20 years I decided a couple of years ago to quit paying thousands/year on a Yellow Page ad and to simply go around to customers houses that look like they could use a paint job and drop off this information. It works quit well; I save ad money and can pass some of the savings to you in lower bids. My rates are very reasonable.

All work is performed by me. I have no employees. I am thoroughly knowledgeable on materials and "how to" of all phases of painting (interior and exterior) and have all neccessary equipment to complete the job. Neatness is very important; I collect all paint chips and debris as I perform the work and cover all areas that are to remain paint free. I do not clutter up walkways or other common areas more than is neccessary as the work progresses.
Restoration; entire paint removal and old window restoration are my speciality. I perform carpentry as needed.
My proposal includes a step by step process that I will go through in performing the work. I encourage the customer to contact me with any questions as the job progresses. I do one job at a time so I am in and out of the job as fast as practical. You will find me the easiest guy in the world to work with. References provided gladly. minor odds and ends, carpentry, pigeon guard installation, removal of old hardware, etc. are done in the course of the job and may be included in the bid.
Weather: I encourage customers to contact me as early in the season as possible. My procedure is to scrape all loose paint then powerwash, much of this work can be done in inclement weather. I offer a discount for those who schedule winter work. In that case I do all the preparation that doesn't involve application of materials--spackle, paint, putty, etc.--in one phase, then return to do the final painting. The preparation phase is less intrusive and doesn't require the "tie-up" of the house as the priming and painting does. Often I will scrape and/or remove paint and perform repairs in the winter or early spring. Then when the sun shines I can do the paint application phase. It works well for all concerned.

Give me a call for a free estimate.
Thanks for your time,Bernie DenneyI have painted a couple of houses recently in your area at 6264 and 6266 19th Ave. N.E.
